Hot Sources

masthead

The idea behind these references is as follows: all practising spectroscopists, and particularly the elderly ones like me, have been asked again and again – “Do you know of a paper or a review on …?” OR “I have been looking at the spectrum of …, do you know where I can find a description of the vibrations?”. Can you all give us your recommendations. The list we will produce for readers is an ever-expanding one of good sources of information. The papers we cite may not be the latest or the most detailed but they are recommended for their accuracy, readability, and citations. The plan is to offer six or ten hot sources per edition, so that we rapidly build up a significant database. When the base is big enough to make it worthwhile, we will introduce a computer sorting system. I will thank all contributors, and these must include you, the readers, but for obvious reasons we cannot include the contributors’ names with the lists.

In Editions I and II, I have listed the series of Special Editions of Spectrochimica Acta devoted to the practice, theory and applications of FT Raman Spectroscopy.

The latest one to appear, Special Edition VI, is to be found in Vol. 53A, No.1, January 1997, pages 1-128.
